Piet VanZant - Head Athletic Trainer
Entering his second season as head athletic trainer and 11th with the organization is Piet Van Zant. He joined the Detroit staff for the 1999-2000 season after spending six years with Detroit's AHL franchise in Glens Falls, NY. He received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Central Michigan Univrsity in 1993. In his spare time, Piet enjoys wood working and martial arts. Van Zant and his wife Missy reside in suburban Detroit with their children Jared, Dylan and Mikayla. Van Zant dedicated his first season (2002-03) as athletic trainer to his father, David who passed away. |

Paul Boyer - Head Equipment Manager
Paul Boyer enters his tenth season as equipment manager, coming to Detroit for the 1994-95 season. Boyer had previously spent one season with the New Jersey Devils. A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lake Superior State University. Boyer was the Laker's student manager before entering the National Hockey League breaking in with New Jersey. Paul, his wife Helen and their son and daughter reside in suburban Detroit. Paul is in his fourth term as Secretary of the Society of Professional Hockey Equipment Managers. Paul enjoys golfing and classic Corvettes in his spare time. |

Adam Sheehan - Equipment Manager
Adam Sheehan begins his fourth season as assistant equipment manager of the Red Wings. Prior to joining the Red Wings, the Farmington Hills, Mich. native spent seven seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes and one with the Carolina Hurricanes. He attended Western Michigan University and studied Criminal Justice/Psychology. He enjoys cycling and photography in his spare time. Adam and his wife Kelli reside in suburban Detroit. |
