Jay Mellette - Head Athletic Trainer
Jay Mellette holds the position of Director of Sports Performance and Head Athletic Trainer for the Vegas Golden Knights. In his directorship role Jay oversees the governance, practices, orientations and quality assurance related to player healthcare and performance management services.
Jay came to the Golden Knights with 17 years of experience working with international athletes and international coaches. In his role with Cirque du Soleil, as the Director of Performance Medicine, Jay held the responsibility to oversee the care, prevention, and rehabilitation services for over 1300 athletes and 45 staff. He was instrumental in building a culture of conditioning, creating the concussion protocols, developing an injury prevention program portfolio, and delivering quality clinical outcomes and analysis. He has extensive experience leading medical network development throughout the world and constructing high functioning multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, Jay has held the position of Head Athletic Trainer for the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer.
Before becoming a sports medicine professional Jay was an active duty member of the United States Air Force where he was the recipient of the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and the National Defense Service Medal. The values he learned in the military, related to the dedication to team and mission, were formative to his professional ethos as athletic trainer. Additionally, his years of experience working in university sports and in Major League Soccer were foundational to the development of his vision of an integrated athlete-centered approach to healthcare and performance management.
Jay is a licensed athletic trainer, strength and conditioning coach and performance enhancement specialist who holds a bachelor's degree from Florida State University and a master's degree from Regis University. Jay, his wife Stephanie, and their five dogs continue to enjoy living in Las Vegas.

Chris Davidson-Adams - Head Equipment Manager

Kyle Moore - Athletic Trainer
Kyle joins the Golden Knights after spending the last five seasons as the head athletic trainer for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
Before joining the Penguins, Kyle was an assistant athletic trainer at Albright College. He has served as an assistant clinical professor/assistant athletic trainer at the University of New England, working with the volleyball, men's ice hockey and softball teams. He has his East Stroudsburg University Bachelor's degree and he holds a Master's degree in Athletic Training from Ohio University. He is a certified strength and conditioning coach through the NSCA.

Michael Muir - Asst. Athletic Trainer
Mike comes to the Golden Knights with over 30 years of sports medicine experience and specifically 19 years of hockey experience as an Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning coach. For the previous 10 season Mike worked in the LA Kings organization as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Ontario Reign and previously the Manchester Monarchs. Additionally, Mike has over 8 years as an athletic trainer working in both the USHL and WHL.

Mike holds his Bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and he holds his Certified Strength and Conditioning coach credentials from the NSCA.
